Atkins is seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant to join their Analysis and Modelling Division working on a range of projects for MOD and other government departments, involving: definition of requirements and assumptions, identification of key issues, development of models to assess trade-offs and compromises, interaction with clients to convey results. Personal Characteristics Candidates will need: To be degree qualified in a numerate discipline or have equivalent experience. To be security cleared to SC level prior to appointment. Knowledge and experience of the following is expected: Previous experience in Operational Analysis in a consultancy environment. Strong analytical and modelling skills. Experience of soft OR and decision analysis. Innovative approach to problem solving. Experience of working on defence-related projects. Ability to liase effectively with clients to help define and clarify requirements and collate relevant data/information. Experience of developing models. Desirable Requirements for the role: Experience of conducting economic appraisals to support the Combined Operational Effectiveness and Investment Appraisal (COEIA) process. Business case preparation support. Benefits analysis.
